About Us
We are the official representative of the Water-to-Go brand in Poland, but above all, we are people — enthusiasts of activity, trend and gadget hunters, who care about their own health, the health of those they love, and the environment they live in!
A Brief History of Water-to-Go
The founder of Water-to-Go is Dave Shanks, co-founder Cheryl Farrell. They ran a textile company producing and distributing clothing brands worldwide. Dave often traveled to India, Indonesia, and China and was shocked by the sight of growing mountains of plastic waste each time he visited industrial areas. A significant contributing factor was discarded single-use plastic water bottles.
Work began on developing technology originally created for NASA. This gave birth to Water-to-Go’s “3-in-1 nanotechnology” filters! Combining three different technologies, the results were perfect for all outdoor activities and travel, as all microbiological contaminants are filtered with an efficiency of up to 99.9999%.
Realizing that technology existed which could provide clean and healthy water almost anywhere — and also reduce environmental harm — was the motivation to establish the Water-to-Go brand and company. The challenge was and still is to build an organization that, with limited resources, can positively deliver benefits to the global market.
After investing a substantial amount of his own money, Dave engaged many private investors to help grow the company. Many of them offered specialized skills and business experience, as well as investment. In 2014, a further investment round was raised via crowdfunding through Crowdcube, providing the company with additional funds and expanding its skill base.
At the end of 2014, the company launched a new 50cl GO! Bottle product line designed for everyday use — commuters, gym users, sports enthusiasts, and anyone concerned about their health. The goal is to encourage consumers to use this product instead of buying expensive bottled water, thus reducing environmental harm caused by single-use plastic bottles. Further new products are planned for the future.
The company is growing year after year, rapidly adding distributors and retailers worldwide, and supporting partnerships with many charitable organizations running campaigns, some ranging from Malaria No More UK to the African Wildlife Foundation.
